Warranty Policy
1. COVERAGE
CTG Batteries ("the Manufacturer") warranties that products sold by www.ctgeyil.com or its authorized distributors or dealers will be free from defects in materials and workmanship under normal use for 3Years ("the Warranty Period") from the date of sale, as verified by the customer’s sale receipt, shipping invoice, or Battery serial number, with proof of purchase.

IMPORTANT CONDITIONS RELATED TO BATTERY WARRANTY
1. The batteries are warranted against manufacturing defects & abnormal drop in the Ah values and against any leakages as shown in the table above form the date of sale of battery’s customer and not against normal deterioration in their performance. Battery warranty does not cover failures due to accidental damages, misuse or improper care of the batteries.
2. Warranty on replaced battery will be from original date of purchase. For Example, a battery set purchased on 1st January, which it falls on 1st August and another battery is given lieu of it by the company, then the warranty of new batteries remains from 1st of January.
3. Battery rotation (like tyre rotation) is extremely important to keep the batteries healthy & balanced. Please ensure to get your batteries rotated (the sequence of batteries is rearranged) at authorized service Centre’s once in every 3 months or during the servicing of your e-scooter. Please ensure that all these are clearly specified on the job card as it’s done on a paid basis
4. Regular servicing of e-scooter at our authorization service station is extremely important. During the servicing, batteries are also checked for their state of health and corrective action is taken to stop any further damage or permanent failure.
5. The e-scooter battery is a special application battery meant only for the electric scooters. Do not use e-scooter battery for any other application i.e. extra lights, music system, Pressure home etc.
6. Batteries must be kept as cool as possible to ensure long life & good performance. Batteries become abnormally hot & start bulging if vehicles is driven under overload for long distance, is charged under sunlight, is charged immediately after driving or the charger is kept “ON” for a long period of time even after battery is fully charged. The battery life of your vehicle can be substantially extended by following simple tips mentioned in the battery health tips & the owner manual handed over to you at the time of purchase of battery.
7. CTG EYIL Electric Vehicle reserves the right to change or withdraw any or all clauses of battery warranty policy without any prior information. Please note that used/scrap battery has to be returned to our authorized dealer only. They are not be sold or scraped to a local vendor. CTG EYIL Electric vehicle reserves the right to change or withdraw any clause of warranty policy without any prior information or notification.
ACTUAL PERFORMANCE OF THE BATTERIES
1. Range: The mileage depends on many variable factors such as road conditions, traffic density, tyre pressure, grade-ability, start stops, acceleration, charge level, load, driving style and the condition of vehicle and battery maintenance. The mileage will reduce as battery is consumed. The mileage will also reduce as battery grows old which is a normal decay phenomena.
2. The batteries are warranted against manufacturing defects only and not against normal deterioration in their performance. Please read the battery warranty clauses carefully.
2. DEFINITION
WARRANTY shall be defined as a written promise by a company that in case of a fault found by the user, the company will repair/replace the product to the customer's satisfaction provided it satisfies the terms and conditions set by the company.
FAULT shall refer to any manufacturing defect either present from the day of sale or a gradual defect due to Nominal use but not Overuse or Misuse by the customer.
NOMINAL USE shall refer to the process of using it as intended and not for heavy/other applications other than mentioned in the brochure under standard conditions of temperature, humidity, and pressure.
*WARRANTY ACTIVATION shall refer to activation of warranty only after the customer registers his/her product on the company website.
3. NON- TRANSFERABLE
This Limited Warranty is applicable only to the original purchaser of the Battery and cannot be transferred to any other individual or entity. For any warranty claims, please contact the original place of purchase.
4. SITUATIONS WHERE WARRANTY WILL BECOME VOID
The Manufacturer shall have no obligation under this Limited Warranty for Batteries subjected to the following conditions, including but not limited to:
● Damage due to improper installation; loose terminal connections, under-sized cabling, incorrect connections (series and parallel) for desired voltage and AH requirements, or reverse polarity connections.
● Environmental damage; inappropriate storage conditions as defined by the Manufacturer; exposure to extreme hot or cold temperatures, fire or freezing, or water entry including submersion.
● Repeated exposure of terminals to saltwater without the use of dielectric grease and rubber terminal covers.
● Damage caused by collision.
● Damage due to improper maintenance; under- or over-charging the Battery, dirty terminal connections.
● Battery that has been opened, modified, or tampered with.
● Battery used for applications other than those for which it was designed and intended, including repeated engine starting or drawing more amps than the Battery is rated to discharge continually.
● Battery used with an oversized charger (rated at 0.25 C rates or lesser) without a Manufacturer-approved current surge limiting device.
● Battery under-sized for the application, including an Air Conditioner or similar device with a locked rotor startup current not used with a Manufacturer-approved surge-limiting device.
● Battery not charged for over 3 months (Batteries require regular charging to maintain lifespan).
● Battery not stored in adherence to the Manufacturer’s storage guidelines, including storage at low state-of-charge (charge to over 30% before storing).
This Limited Warranty does not cover any Battery that has reached its expected end of life due to usage, which may occur prior to the expiration of the Warranty Period. A Battery provides a finite amount of energy over its lifespan, which can vary based on the application. For instance, cycling the Battery more than once daily will result in its expected end of life occurring before the end of the Warranty Period.
The Manufacturer reserves the right to deny any warranty claim if, upon inspection, the Battery is determined to have reached its expected end of life, even if this occurs within the Warranty Period.
5. WARRANTY DISCLAIMER
This limited warranty, provided by the Manufacturer, disclaims and excludes all other express warranties. The Manufacturer further restricts the duration of all statutory, express, or implied warranties, including but not limited to, any warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose, to the warranty period specified herein. The Manufacturer’s sole liability for any breach of contract regarding the Battery is limited to replacement of the Battery within the warranty period as per the terms of this limited warranty. Under no circumstances shall the Manufacturer be liable for any loss or damages of any kind, whether direct, incidental, consequential, exemplary, special, or otherwise, including lost profits or costs related to removal, shipping, or installation.
EXCEPT FOR THE WARRANTY PROVIDED ABOVE, THE SELLER MAKES NO OTHER WARRANTIES REGARDING THE GOODS, INCLUDING
(A) ANY WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY, OR
(B) ANY WARRANTY OF FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED BY LAW, COURSE OF DEALING, COURSE OF PERFORMANCE, USAGE OF TRADE, OR OTHERWISE.
6. LEGAL RIGHTS
Certain jurisdictions do not permit limitations on the duration of implied warranties or the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages. Therefore, the aforementioned limitations may not apply to you. This warranty provides you with specific legal rights, which may vary from one jurisdiction to another. This warranty shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the ( INSERT THE NAME OF THE COUNTRY WHERE THE ORGANIZATION IS REGISTERED). It constitutes the exclusive agreement between the parties concerning the subject matter hereof. No employee or representative of the Manufacturer is authorized to extend any warranty beyond those expressly stipulated in this agreement.
7. NON WARRANTY REPAIRS
In the event that the Battery is outside of the Warranty Period or has incurred damage not covered under the warranty, customers may still contact the Manufacturer to request repair services. Associated costs will include shipping, replacement parts, and a labor fee of per hour.
8. WARRANTY CLAIM PROCEDURE
If you believe there is a defect or failure in the Battery, you must submit a warranty/service claim to the original CTG Batteries agent, dealer, or distributor from whom you purchased the Battery within warranty period of the alleged defect date. If you are unable to reach the original seller, please contact CTG Batteries by visiting https://ctgeyil.com
A valid warranty or parts and service claim for the Battery must include:
- Proof of original purchase showing the date and identity of the purchaser, name of authorized seller, Battery model number, serial number, and purchase price. Please indicate the transaction currency if not in USD.
- Detailed description of the alleged defect.
- Battery data logger download for analysis.
- Description of the installation location and environment.
- Shipping address for the repaired or replaced product.
Upon receiving a return materials authorization (“RMA”), you must securely package the authorized Battery along with copies of the information outlined in points 1 to 5 above. The packaging must clearly display the CTG Batteries RMA number. Unless otherwise instructed, you are responsible for prepaying all shipping charges to the destination specified by CTG Batteries and ensuring the shipment is adequately insured against loss or damage during transit. CTG Batteries bears no liability for shipping damage resulting from improperly packaged Batteries or any consequent repair costs. Alternatively, CTG Batteries may require you to retain the Battery on site for examination by a CTG Batteries representative.
If CTG Batteries determines, at its sole discretion, that the defect or Battery failure is covered under warranty, CTG Batteries will repair or replace the Battery and return it to the User at no cost. If replacement is warranted and the required Battery is no longer in production or available, CTG Batteries may opt to replace it with an alternative Battery of comparable function and performance or provide a prorated refund based on the original purchase price and the remaining portion of the Service Life.
Any repaired or replacement Battery will only be covered for the remaining unused portion of the original Limited Performance Warranty. The cost and responsibility for removing the defective Battery and its shipment.
